Night Prayer in Islam

Abu Hurayrah (RA) narrated that the Prophet (SAW) said:

“Whoever stands (in qiyaam) in Laylatul-Qadr [and it is facilitated for him] out of faith and expectation (of Allah’s reward), will have all of his previous sins forgiven.”

night prayer hadith

There is no harm Insha’Allah in performing Taraweeh night prayers by praying 4 Rak’as with two Tashahud and one Salaam. The evidence about this is what ‘Aa’ishah (RA) had narrated saying:

“The Messenger of Allaah never prayed more than 11 Rak’as during Ramadhan or otherwise. He would pray 4 Rak’as, and don’t ask about how excellent they were or how lengthy they were. Then, he would pray 4 Rak’as, and don’t ask about how excellent they were or how lengthy they were, then he would pray 3 Rak’as.”
