How beautiful is this Analogy between Prophet Yusuf (Alayhi Salam) and the month of Ramadan by Ibn al Jawzee (rahimahullah)
“The twelve months of the year are like the twelve sons of prophet Yaqub (Alayhi Salam). And just as prophet Yusuf was the most beloved to Yaqub, the month of Ramadan is the most beloved to Allah. And just as Allah forgave the eleven brothers by the du’a of one; Yusuf. He can forgive your eleven months of sins by your du’as in Ramadan.”
Prophet Yusuf is also refered by the Christians and Jews as Joseph and his father – Prophet Yaqub as Jacob.
